Derryl Stephen Halpern
Derryl graduated law school in 1997 ranked number one in his graduating class and was Editor in Chief of the Law Review. This was quite a turn around for Derryl who had aspirations of becoming a professional bicycle racer. (Don't we all want to be pro athletes). And he wasn't far off earning a bronze metal in the 1986 US Olympic Festival in North Carolina. It is this untiring effort that makes him a great lawyer. Recently he was able to obtain a $3 million recovery against The State of California. His client was injured in a cross median collision. The highway was straight as an arrow, yet he pursued this case for two reason First his client deserved a recovery and Derry knew that the Highway was dangerous and should have been fixed long before the accident. Second to assure others are not similarly injured. His efforts paid off, his client received that 3 million dollar recovery and the State agreed to fix the road. When not in the office, Derry still enjoys mountain biking and trail running. But mostly he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
